absoluteley gutted!, looks like i will have to start rebuilding it again, if insurance declare it a total loss! before & after pics included:

mainly passenger side damage, everything else untouched, slight kerbing on one alloy!

looks nasty, hope your ok, glad to see the airbags working, whos fault was it etc?

the main thing is you're in one piece revolver, I recall someone having a similar accident & it wasn't written off so wait & see what the assessors say.

im mainly ok, had some bruising to my left side and right collar bone, caused by seatbelt and the impact, i was wanting to turn right off a main road and did not see a car coming and ploughed straight in to me!, and air bag only pass side exploded, but worked! possible looks like my fault but have claimed to insurance third party may have been going above 30mph. other car involved ford focus!!

I really feel with you, because same thing happened to me (I'll pm you). At least it wasn't worse, look at it that way, and that you are ok.

I think looking at that the pic's the car's floorpan would be bent !! maybe a total lost !!

Probably not the wisest move IMHO this thread given the comments, assuming the people in the other car ok as well as your self

If you were turning right off a main road saying the other driver 'ploughed straight in to me!' is a little disingenuous. If you have turned into the path of an oncoming vehicle it is your fault.

Who's a silly boy then. The other car was going too fast. Someone tried that on with my missus and got done for driving without due care and attention.

Unless the other car was going ludicrous speed when you drove into it's path, to the point you couldn't have seen until you were in it's way then it is definitely your fault. You do not say that the other car was going fast, only that you claimed to your insurance that it was (presumably to dishonestly try to preserve your no claims).

You're going to put the other party through so much grief for an issue that clearly looks like it is your fault. Glad everyone is ok, but what a rat-bag you must be if you're going to try and diddle the other party out of their no claims for something that is certainly your fault.

Hope all your mods were declared to the insurance company.

Always best to be honest with the insurance companies or they'll catch you out and you'll get nothing.

It looks like a fairly clear cut incident unless the other car was doing at least double the speed limit, and you have no proof of that anyway. The police will be able to determine approximate speeds from the marks left on the road etc so trying to blame the other car for speeding will probably be fruitless.

I couldn't agree more with trying to 'spin' the story to make it possibly work a bit in your favour being the entirely wrong thing to do. Best that will happen they'll call it a 50/50, and the only person who wins there is the insurance companies. I has some kn0b drive out of a junction into the side of me in a box junction even though it was a give way and I was proceeding as it was clear at the other side, he hit the tail end of my car and his car undamaged. Guess what, he twists his story to cast some doubt to his insurance company and they come out with some ludicrous result on the table, and all that ended up happening is that it took months and months to sort out. As you might tell, I don't have the time of day for anyone thinking of doing such a thing. If it was a clearly genuine 'accident' on your part..admit it, plain and simple. If you do genuinely believe the person was doing more than 30, then go with it, but you need to be sure,

I was involved in a similar accident where a car pulled out on me from a lay by. The other driver tried to say I was speeding but got told it's irrelevant because he still took my road. Strangely enough, 2 years later he is now taking me to court to dispute the repair cost despite being forced to admit liability.

It's your fault, full stop. I notice from your photos that the Fire Brigade was there, as a retired firefighter I've been to plenty of shunts like yours. Had that car been doing substantially over 30mph your car would have landed into next week. I've seen life threatening injuries to occupants of both vehicles involved in right hand turn t-bones. The car that hit you has not passed the junction and looks as though your were spun around during the impact. Had the blue car been speeding his back end would have spun around to his right and would not have stopped in an almost straight on direction. Also the amount of damage to both vehicles shows moderate speed was involved.

My wife got hit by a woman driving a Yaris on a roundabout. She failed to notice my wife and insisted that my wife was speeding. Unfortunately for her the car following her was a police car. The officer asked her admit the accident was her fault as he was going to be my wife's witness and to exchange details. She refused and still insisted my wife was speeding. He gave her one more chance when she again refused she was breathalised, cautioned and reported for driving without due care and attention. She went to court was fined and went on a driver awarness course to save her 3 points on her licence. There was only 100 miles on the clock of our car.

hi guys i really appreciate the comments and yes it will be my fault as had an email from insurance! and according to the repairers £5300 worth of damage!! still none the wiser on the outcome of my car!

I doubt they'll write your car off for £5300... but it might be close.
