(Using Brother's account as he sold his rocco)
Hi all, I'm 17, Just passed my test & have ordered a Scirocco 1.4tsi 122 with optional 18" Interlagos alloys & Foglamps.
Just wondered if it would come with black roof lining as my brothers did but he did have the GT, Thanks, Luke

the black headlining as standard on the 2.0TSi GT on the others you need to order leather to get black, otherwise its grey.

Why, does the colour of roof lining have a significant impact?

Wow, a Rocco at 17
I could only of dreamed of that in my youth. Will you bother with insurance ?
As everyone else as said, unless it's the 2.0 GT or you specify leather, the headlining will be light grey. To be honest, I think it lifts the interior, makes it less claustrophobic at the rear.

"Ehh, when I were a lad......"
A lad of 17 driving a Rocco, Candy Rocco's parents must have thought "damn, he's never moving out!" when they realised what he was buying.
At 17 my biggest expense was beer money, my 205GT cost pennies to buy and run. What's the insurance on a Roc for a 17 year old that isn't fronting, £4k a year?
So as not to be lambasted for drifting wildly off topic, I will clarify Sootchuckers post further - 2.0TSI only or leather seats. Get a 2.0TDI GT (even the 170 variant) and you won't get black headlining unless you order leather.
I'd love a black headlining, but i'll not buy leather to get one.

17? I hate you, you impertinent child! I had to make do with a MKII Escort that cost me the princely sum of twenty five pounds, or was it groats? My aged memory fails me, the roof lining on that was like a pram hood.
Bah humbug.

Ha ha, thanks for all your help, My mum & dad can't drive and my mum is on higher rate motability so with the ABI rating being 18 on the 1.4 (122), I can have one for £750 deposit & they pay insurance, tax, servicing, tyres, punctures. So all i have to pay is fuel & the dread of taking 'mother dearest' to Morrisons once a week :'(

My mate at work has a 59 plate candy white GT 2.0tsi with the black head lining (No leather seats!) and mine is a 2011 2.0TDI GT and has the grey head lining. Doesn't make any sense!!?

My father in law just died and he had a major brain heamorage 15 years ago and he had a specially converted Fiat Doblo to get him around in his motorised wheel chair so I have some experience of motability and whilst I dont want to come across all 'holier than tho' or offend anyone but if we (the tax payer) are paying out for Scirocco for a weekly trip for candyroccos mum to the supermarket no wonder the country is in a state!
Wouldnt it be more cost effective for the state to pay for a specially adapted cab fleet! At the very least if the state is paying it should be something mundane!
Maybe I'm just getting middle aged I'll be buying the Daily Mail next!
