Hi all just wondered if anyone has removed the front number plate surround is there holes in the bumper behind it ?
I think a 3/4 front plate would look quite good like on the mk5 golfs

I removed my number plate base today. Just 2 plastic pins sticking it to the bumper. reveals the gril behind it. Looks a lot nicer without!

you checked the legality of your pressed versions??

Cops do like to pick on people with non standard reg plates.

The one I've got on the front is illegal I need to get another legal one from dubmeister,I did have one but I had a little tantrum and bent it in half,I've not put a pressed one on the back as it's more likely they will see the rear plate and stop you

There may or may not be 1 or 2 flys on my bumper, but you get the impression nonetheless :)

It's just some press in plastic stubs. get a screwdriver and wedge them out. there's only 2. i then drilled 2 new holes so my new plate surround was in the correct position. job done.
