Does anyone have any news on likely updates coming this year (its usually around week 22?)
If not who and where does this info usually come from?
I'm asking as I have a build week 20 car and if its anything of interested ill push it back a few weeks allowing somebody else's to be delivered sooner! ;-)

based on us not hearing any rumours until the end of april (approx week 17/18) last year and the year before I don't think there will be any news yet.
this information comes through the dealer information systems so by all means go & ask them if they have had any updates, and let us know what you hear.
also think very very carefully before saying things like wanting to push back build weeks, firstly you can't just say "no I don't want you to build my car that week" as that's when its scheduled within the factory system for build, you have to make a change on the spec to potentially effect a change of build week and even then that may be able to be incorporated and not push it out or will put you right to the back of the queue.
btw it will be the MY2012 changes

As we’re already in week 17 and 18 looming, anyone heard any rumours on MY2012 changes?
Still no news on my car being excepted by the factory so I was wondering if there were any changes worth waiting for?

Just been given a build date of week 22. Hope they don't put bluemotion on the 170 diesel.
Just found this:

Nothing there to make me wish mine wasn't a week 18 build. LED numberplate lights if I pay almost a grand for Xenons (I wouldn't). Turning ESP off might be handy for an R or a mapped 2.TSI on a trackday.

Currently week 22 for me too. Did think they may have added LED DRLs.
Also wondered about BM on 170 but to be honest glad they haven't

As Deacon said you cannot yet switch the whole thing off, I am guessing this might be an ECU update, or I hope it is!

No sign of a facelift again. The Scirocco must be the only VW model now that hasn't had the new LED DRL headlight and 'boomerang' rear light clusters.

Is that it! I have to say I'm disappointed I'd hoped they'd be more than that , the 170 getting BMT and LED lighting at least

"Product/Production Maturity" in a nutshell.
Selling well, still some new markets to open up but not the USA, production capacity expansion restricted and saturated.
Won't change much for the next 3 years imo until the Mk4.
It's met VW's initial sales volume expectations very well.
