Getting more into detailing as a side hobby, good fun.
Just did my first clay on my housemates car with great results.

Next I am considering pure polish as a step before the wax layer.
By this I mean the ones with zero abrasive action right? to nourish the paint etc before you seal with wax...

can anyone recommend an easy apply (I am all for this) pure polish/glaze for viper green?

Do you want a polish ?, some polishes contain abrasives some don't ?, and they don't particularly nourish the paint either, the general use of a polish is to prepare the paint for a glaze and or sealant/ wax.

basically what would you put down before a wax to make the paint pop as much as possible. I don't need any abrasive action and can do without such glazes that form annoying 'skins' over the pain?

People will give you all sorts of suggestions TBH , i have loads of slightly older stuff and today i used two of them to see if they where as good as i remembered and both are brilliant, these being Zaino AIO (all in one) and Blackfires AFPP (with this though i did use the matching polish beforehand) .

I think no Roc should be subjected to any abrasion yet. The paint is still very new even from the first one that rolled off from Portugal.

Unless you have swirlmarks from petrol station car washes.

I think wax/ sealant after claying is enough imo.

Utter garbage, the paint straight from the shworoom benefits from a compounding and polishing.

I will put it more nicely than above !!, new paint is baked and gets moped at the factory, its hard enough from new to take polishing, you can easily hand polish your car with something like clearkote VMG every week for 10 years and hardy loose any of the clearcoat, of course its better not to go mad, i machine polished my Scirocco after i picked it up and checked the thickness with a paint gauge before and after and the difference in paint thickness was so negligible that it did not register , and i have some serious machines , unfortunately darker cars show up swirls and marring so do benefit from a slight machine polish using something like menzenra Final finish every six months or so, in fact most colours benefit from this too.

next question is, say I have a coat of wax on but i want to redo the entire car, how I do I get the meg's mirror glaze OFF as it's so hard wearing!?

Now I know how to clay, I recognised that on my second ever waxing of my roc I have definately sealed in some impurities:(

I just want it to look RIDICULOUS for bright summer days:D
