Just a thought that a lot of new members come on here because they are considering buying a Roc and would like to know more. They will find plenty of posts about delays and long lead times - most UK customers (even if all goes well) are looking at 16 weeks from order to delivery (which most people could plan for if they knew in advance) - and most delays seem to occur because 1) The Dealer accepted your order (and usually misled you) even though they have has run out of allocation when you / your lease company placed your order or 2) VW have shortages of the particular engine / spec / option you have ordered.
There is not much that can be done about (2) but I thought I would start a thread so people could post allocation information that they find out during their chats with dealers so that all potential owners can benefit. Have you just ordered a Roc and your dealer still has more allocation for the month? Has your dealer misled you and taken your deposit but has held back placing an order with the factory for months on end? Why not post the details here and let potential Roc owners benefit from your experience.
For South Africa buyers I looked at replacing my 2009 Scirocco last week. The dealer checked on his system and could only get a car due to be built in week 25. So if you order today it will on be delivered in August. This was Hatfield VW in Bryanston, I am not sure if any other dealers have allocation.

I got the last one on allocation for VW In Twickenham, UK. Not had confirmation of build week yet but dealer estimated week 13... lets hope I'm not being led on aye...
