Scirocco Central

I'm about to place an order for the 2 litre TDI DSG 170ps.
On paper apparently I should get 50.4 mpg combined ... Is this what anyone is actually getting?
Also the difference between manual and DSG is not a lot. Manual with same engine says you would get 53.3. Should I believe this and just be lazy to get the DSG??

i have got the 140 tdi dsg and have just got about 450 miles out of my first tank if that helps. Think 50.4 sound close but not quite.

Just did 570 miles on my last fill up of 52 litres. About 49.7 to the gallon. Gets better in the warmer weather though.

I'm sure to god I got loads more in my Fiesta ST. It's full tank was around £45, and that was like normal 95 ron petrol and it did over 300 miles. Something don't add up here as I've got at least 4MPG better in this roc.

Not me but the wife manage to get it up to 58mpg at one point. I get about 50-53mpg out of me oil burner.

lol... I hit about 31mpg on average in the 2.0TSI, and I don't even drive hard. It's just mostly town and country roads, no Motorway.

I went past £70 for a tank last week!

My fiest ST got 27mpg and 200 miles on a tank21 I must have driven like a right plank!

I was getting around 27MPG.

I wonder how much diesel will cost when my 170 DSG hopefully arrives at the end of May. I currently get a regular 51mpg from my Volvo V50 2.0 diesel. My wife has told me that I am to drive the Rocco gently to get as much mileage out of the motion lotion as possible. Then she is going to hammer it.

i used to get about 28 out of my 1.6 auto focus so as u can imagine I am loving this!

Changed on Friday from a A6 3.0 tdi quattro le mans which was remapped to 295bhp got around 31mpg, to roc 2.0tdi 140bhp. Mix of motorway 80 85mph, few short trips 45.86 mpg will improve but happy with that although maybe a bit low. To be fair although roc only half the bhp it doesnt seem totally gutless compared to Audi although that thing fair shifted could pull on M6 down slip road about 70 by time cut across 3 lanes 120 but ended up in court in December 6 points £275 for doing 90 in a 60 past an unmarked police car so prehaps the sky rocket might help me keep my licence. Might remap the roc down the line, can get it up to 175bhp safely.

I getting 50.3 out of my 2.0 TDI 140 after 4500 miles

Just gone past 6,000 miles in my 170 GT and getting consistent 54 - 58 mpg on the daily 10 mile commute (mixed B class country roads and town driving). Cold weather drags it down to 49 - 51 mpg (nothing to do with using the heated seats and auxiliary heater to warm me up before the engine....)
With normal summer driving temperatures, I'm expecting 56 - 60 mpg if I'm being dull, 52 - 56 mpg if I enjoy the car.

Our Roc has now done just over 1800 miles and we now are averaging 51mpg though we have bettered this averaging 53mpg

On an extra urban run we got 58mpg but that was when the car had only done 500 miles

So guessing that may of increased now?

Ours is a 140 with DSG so i guess a 170 will be marginally less

My economy seems to change dramatically depending on how warm it is!

I've got a Revo mapped Tdi 140 and in the really cold (-12d) weather we've had recently, on my drive to work of 35 miles, I averaged only 52mpg. Rewind to last summer however, and most mornings I got a least 67mpg. The highest I've seen on the average display was 76mpg but this was before I remapped and I didn't get a photo. I do have a photo of 72.6 on the display though in case anyone thinks my car is fueled by leprechauns!

Damn I must be driving mine like I stole it! I've yet to see anything higher than 47!
Usually between there and 42... although sometime lower
