i defrosted my car yesterday and went about my journey, noticed after a few miles the ACC button was flashing on and off both comfort and sport showing at the same time. it also happened again today, if i press the button it functions properly on the MFD,
but not convinced that it is actually working.
has anybody experienced a problem like this, im booking it into vw tomorrow for them to have a look at a whole list of problems.
any experiences would be welcome.

This has happened to me twice now while about 300 miles from home.
I pulled over - turned the engine off (key out), then turned it on again and it was fine.
Tested it in all modes and seemed to be functioning fine.
My 10,000 mile service will be in the next few months so im just going to mention it then.

Happened to me 2 days in a row last week (first 2 days of Snow in Newcastle), and the ride was considerably harsher than the normal "comfort" setting which it had been set to. Will take it in the the dealers when the snow stops and clears.

My car is currently with VW. They ran a check yesterday and have upgraded the software. Mine was flashing every time I started from cold. They kept it overnight to check if it happens again. Seems OK but they said they are not 100% sure the upgrade will totally resolve this. They said the data was sent off to VW as they had not experienced this with the Scirocco before. Am collecting it tonight so hoping all will OK from now on.

Well started up this morning and the ACC did not light up so fingers crossed they fixed it. Would urge any one else to take their's to the dealer as VW reckoned no other incidents had been reported yet

This happened to me also, for me it was a faulty fuse.

Same problem with mine this morning, but cleared itself after re-starting the engine.

Got mine back from the garage today - had it all day and test drove it.
They acknowledged the fault codes but after resetting and clearing the logs all seemed to be ok - there were no issues with ride.
They confirmed no issue with the wiring, shock absorbers, suspension in general etc.
VW St Albans also very kindly cleaned my extremely dirty CW - was a nice touch and nice to see these days!

Just to add to this thread, I've also had the ACC switch flashing issue over recent weeks. Took it to the dealer today who said its a known software bug, so its been flashed with a firmware update so will see how it goes...

Dragging up an ancient thread here, but thought I may as well opposed to starting a new thread about the exact same topic.
Basically, my car has recently developed this issue, where the ACC button will start flashing at me on just about every journey. However, I recently had my car lowered, so was wondering could it be as simple a problem as one of the connectors not being correctly re-seated after being removed during the spring change?
If I end up taking it to the dealer, then I assume they will refuse any repair under warranty because I've changed the springs?

Some of the symptoms above will be in built in your build, so not software update.
Why not do some simple quick checks.........
A) Inspect each shock absorber for a loose connection, damaged wire to the ACC connection and also whether there is wet hydraulic oil over the shock absorber's ACC electrical connection.
To examine each wheel area.....
1) Turn the front steering full left, on the left front look into gap behind the top half of the wheel from the front side of the wheel and check the ACC connection, its wiring and for wet hydraulic oil.
2) Turn the front steering full right, again as 1), look in behind the right wheel from the front.
3) From under the rear bumper, look at the back of the rear wheel areas and examine the ACC connections for looseness and wet hydraulic oil.
You don't need to take the wheels off to do this simple check.

Thanks RW1 - this is EXACTLY what I was looking for
I'm planning on taking all the wheels off this weekend anyway to replace the wheel centres and spray the hubs, so will have a thorough investigation at the same time.
The provided images will be a huge help!

Weird....was just away to post saying my light was flashing and I just found this post. Seems to be in the cold mornings its doin it. Then if you switch off the engine and back on again all is fine. Any solid ideas of what might be causing this??

I've had my wheels off today and found my front right anti-roll bar wasn't even connected! I can't see the people who changed my springs needing to disconnect this, so wondering if it has never been tightened up properly and has worked itself loose :/
Will have to see if the light stops flashing now over the next few days...
