1.4 TSI Reliability

From a road test of the 1.4 TSI Scirocco, this is an amazing engine for it's size but I wonder about the reliability of a small supercharged/turbocharged engine? Has anyone experience of this engine in another VW car eg Golf GT?

No experience of it (yet!) but I'm pretty sure it's available in the Golf VI, and I'd be damn surprised if VW put any engine into a Golf (whatever about a niche car like the Scirocco) that wasn't tested all the way to hell and back.

I have the 1.4 TSI engine in my current 07 Golf GT.
I am really impressed with it, from a standing start and at motorway speeds. I have had the car nearly 2 years and have not had any problems.
I waited for the 1.4 TSI Scirocco to come out before I placed an ordered.

The 1,4 is a very modern engine, and has been running in different cars the last two years.
As far as I know (being member of the vw-audi club in norway as well) there are no known weaknesses connected to this engine.

I've had my 1.4 scirocco for too little but I read somewhere that the engine was given a 300,000 mile stress test and it passed without any problem. Only thing is that turbo/super charged engines do tend to last a little less than normally aspirated engines but are you really going to drive this car for more than 10-15 years?
