If you're thinking of buying a CW and plan on doing about 1000 miles per week then be prepared to wash you car alot.

This is the result of 2 trips the entire length of the M4, and 2 trips the entire length of the M1 in the space of 7 days.

Also note my Roc has 1 coat of FinishKare Sealant on it, 2 coats of wax, 2 coats of wheel sealant and rain X on the windows.

(For those of you wandering what gun metal wheels and a Brown/White pearlescent paint job looks like ...this is it)

YUM!

  This happened to me as well, and it took the guys and the station about 40 minuts to clean, but when it was done i felt as if it was a new car

I suppose you can look at it the other way. Once it is nice and clean again, you can appreciate it more. Also, it means you clean it more so it is always pretty much looking nice and shiny, rather than thinking it doesnt look too bad.

I saw an RB yesterday n thought ...'maybe i should have'.

It does definately look brand new now though, so i get to appreciate it until its covered in cr** again by tomorrow morning!

Mine looked exactly the same after a weekend trip to Shropshire where our log cabin was up a dirt track, (and where a farmer squeezing passing me in a 4WD told me the roads weren't built for "those city cars") plus trips on the M5/M42/M6/M69/M4 this week. Got it all sparkly clean yesterday evening ready to show to the hot bloke at the site I was working at today then had to detour through the bloody Forest of Dean this morning after two lorries decided to have a scrap on the M5. Result? Car looks much like Caprinolaw's again.

At the moment I'd probably have another CW, ask me that in March when I'll have driven the car for a year and I'll probably say otherwise.

I like Damp and Dirty, ;) but not when it comes to the roads. It will be like this for at least the next 3 months and it just sticks to everything i can easily get through a full washer bottle just driving up and down the M1 At least when it rains the car stays a little cleaner.

Yep cleaned my CW last Sunday and thought - how long will it stay like this ?

Its the soggy, mushy piles of leaves on the road at this time of the year that cause most of the mess.

If you buy a white car you gotta expect to clean it a lot if you want to keep it shiny. Even in good weather. When its clean though.....it really is the best colour IMO for the Roc.

I agree they do get bloody dirty, but then the option is some crap mud flaps that don't fit anyones style of Roc.

I was keen on the White also, until i saw a few in this wonderful weather looking like that.... i have no access to wash a car at home and can't justify a car/jet wash every day. So will go for something darker!!!
