More Options Ordered...

Like many other people posting on here, I've became resigned to the fact that my Roc isn't going to be build / delivered within the original schedule.

The problem is that the wait has now given me some time to consider the original options which I spec'd for the car and I've ended up going back to the dealer to get some more things added. If VW keep delaying my order it could become mighty expensive as I think of a few more "essentials" to add..... ;)

Original Options Ordered:
18" Interlagos Alloys
Multi-Function Steering Wheel
DAB Radio

Extra Options Ordered:
Bi-Xenon Headlights
Rear Parking Sensors

Parking sensors are a very good move in my view - the Roc is easily as difficult to reverse park as my Boxster was (with the roof up) as the rear 3/4 view is so limited - sensors make it way easier. Xenons I'm never really sure about - they look cool for sure - how much are they on a 'Roc?

I think the parking sensors are a good option, and wish I had ordered them now.

Folding mirrors for circa £100 are worth it IMO. Pity they are not operated by the key fob/locking the doors, but still a nice lazy way to have some peace of mind when leaving the car parked. Bonus: in conjunction with parking sensors, gets you the tilting passenger mirror when reversing and also puddle lights (not sure if they come on the standard wing mirrors thou)

My only small regret is not getting DAB, but with all the media options, there is plenty of scope to vary the music!

parking sensors and xenons are a no brainer tbh. makes parking a breeze and people seem to move out of the way much quicker :)

The xenons are great. Look good and really light up the road nicely. Not cheap (~£900?), but if your spending £20+k might as well get what you want.

I'd probably get DAB now, but its not really an issue.

Yeah, the Xenons aren't cheap and come in at about £900. However, I live out in the sticks in the North of Scotland and commute into Aberdeen each day. I travel on a lot of rural back roads - so when it's wet, foggy, dark (or snowing...eeek) I think that the Xenons will be invaluable.

I ordered the panaroof, xenons, folding mirrors and truffle leather, however for an extra 400 pounds i think i should have taken the pdc. Too late now though my car already built

Does anybody recommend any of the Sat Nav options?

No. Far cheaper to Retro-fit. Retro-fit RNS 510 can be had for circa £5-600.

No faulting the extra options you've gone for! I have the Bi-Xenons and DAB too and both are brilliant.

As for the Sat Nav can't comment as I opted to use my existing device.

the satnav works quite well, its got me out of a few sticky situations (traffic, closed roads etc) where i wouldn't normally have the tomtom setup or in the car. Its pretty responsive and not that inaccurate. I'm sure there's loads of other topics around about it though ;)

Hi All, I'm confused, VW UK are to!
Having ordered a gt tdi dsg on Oct 12th with no build date but an estimated March 2011 delivery, Are the aforementioned "Puddle Lights" fitted if you opt for electric folding mirror and / or is the parking sensors required also for some reason?
Having phoned both my dealer and vw uk i'm being told they are only available with luxury pack options on some VW models but there definitely not available on the Rocc!!!! Can anyone help me and VW with the answer plz
