The 5.621-km Yeongam track has been designed by celebrated circuit architect Hermann Tilke and will boast a stunning waterside location. It is made up of a temporary street circuit section, which is included for the Grand Prix, and a 3.045-km permanent track, which will be used all year round.
It features a mammoth 1.2-km straight (one of three high-speed stretches), the longest straight of any current Asian Formula One circuit. It is also one of the calendar's few anti-clockwise tracks and features five slow turns and two obvious spots for overtaking.

A couple of drivers are suggesting that the tarmac hasn't had long enough to cure properly and will be at risk of breaking up. Place your bets on a crisis meeting before the race on sunday to decide if the track is usable.

Korean Grand Prix organisers are making minor modifications to the new Formula 1 track on Friday night following complaints from drivers about potential trouble spots on the new Yeongam circuit.
Although drivers were mostly impressed with the layout of the new Korean track, they requested some changes be made to the venue following Friday's first practice sessions.
Following discussions with FIA race director Charlie Whiting at Friday night's drivers' briefing, it was agreed that tweaks be made to two areas in particular - the controversial Turn 16 left-hander and the final Turn 18 apex.
With the cars having bottomed out a lot at the Turn 16 apex, with the kerb lower than the track itself, race organisers are now re-profiling the kerb to make it higher. This should prevent drivers from being encouraged to cut the corner too much.
Work is also being done to re-profile the wall on the exit of Turn 16. The original design had the wall filtering in close to the edge of the track on the right hand side exit of the curve, and that has now been moved back so it runs parallel to the track.
Furthermore, the organisers are building a new apex kerb at the final Turn 18 apex, after drivers kept cutting the corner during free practice - which dragged dirt and stones onto the circuit.
The new kerb will be made lower than the apex of the turn, which will act as a deterrent so drivers do not cut the corner. This should also make the final Turn 17 much more of a kink, with drivers having to be more careful as they exit the long right-hander.
The FIA has also agreed that the track surface will be extensively cleaned overnight to try and get rid of the dust that was dragged onto the track during the free practice sessions.
Some tweaks will also be made to the pitlane entry, which was a concern for the drivers.
Still building it, blind pit entry lane, dirt everywhere, the army trying to finish building the stands... GULP!

Adrian Sutil and Sebastien Buemi will lose five places on the grid for the Brazilian Grand Prix following their accidents in Korea.
Force India driver Sutil was given the penalty after making contact with Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi on lap 47 of the race.
The German was also fined $10,000 "in view of the driver's admission that he was aware of brake problems with his car throughout the race," according to the stewards.
Toro Rosso's Buemi will also lose five places on the grid in Brazil following his accident with Virgin's Timo Glock.

Some great stuff on sniffpetrol again
"The rain is falling faster than you. Can you confirm you understand this message"
Alonso has complained to the FIA. He wants the weather to be penalised.
Schumacher: "Visibility was so bad I couldn't see Barrichello to be able to bully him"
Little known fact, if Bernard Zoolander completes more than 75% race distance he gets to keep the SLS.
Reached 75% race distance. Unlike Petrov, who only has 75% of his car left.
Wouldn't it be AWFUL if Alonso spun out. And then got out of his car and trod in a dog turd.
If you were allowed to add one letter to each drivers' abbreviated name I'd started with an N for Kobayashi.
Korean GP result: 3. Massa 2. Fighta 1. Wanka
