I have caught my drivers side alloy wheel whilst parking yesterday

What is the general price for repair?

I have been offered 3 years insurance by vw (max claim £100 per repair), I cannot claim for 30 days though

Yeah 3 years alloy repair, each repair up to £100 anything over I pay the difference

Was also offered tyre insurance!

if you plan on smacking your alloy on every curb going then great but being honest I don't think its worth it. I think its about £50 a time from when previous people have had it done but how bad is it?
i caught mine on a curb & managed to touch it up myself with a rattle can to stop it annoying me too much for now then will get it properly done when i catch it again.

also with tyre insurance you may well find that you can't claim on the same corner twice & crazy things like that

Dealer is ringing me today with terms of Alloy Ins. If I claim 3 times in 3 years It' s paid for its self.

I'm not taking out the tyre insurance, just thought I would mention it.

My local alloy wheel refurb shop does a full set for £200 as long as they are not a polished finish and in a single colour.
