Can anyone confirm what build week auto folding mirrors came as standard. I have been offered a build week 29 car and VW can't tell me whether this car has them or not!

Yep def not standard I paid good money for mine! They not the best folding mirrors in world. Would be nice if they folded once you were out of the car so you could see when to open your door in traffic, but can't have everything!

I got them - very disappointing, my old Leon folded by fob remotely. Scirocco folds by twisting the switch in the car. It's plain crap as already pointed out you fold them and cannot then see if its safe to get out the car on a busy road :-(

That's not AUTO then! My 2 year old Roc has 'folding mirrors' auto will be when ignition switched off or fob pressed to close doors they fold in/out etc
Folding mirrors I have always added to vehicle spec for narrow roads, width restrictions etc and parking in London, auto is good idea if on FOB otherwise agree folding before you get out vehicle is not safe.

agreed guys, my 2007 Leon's mirrors folded when you locked the car from the remote and unfolded again when you started the car....great isn't it the VW's budget brands get some things which are better than their mainstream brand and for a few grand less too.....
