Headlight adjustment - bi Xenon

Any idea on the adjustment.
I feel my Bi Xenon lights shine FAR to low. I know it is self leveling. Is there anyway to get the lights to shine higher? VAG setting/mechanical??
Had the car for a year know, but was the first time I have been on the open road (long distance) at night, not too impressed (at all)
Help

Open hood, on headlights you will find allen screws (no. 6 size), you can adjust height using them.

Alternatively sit in car with VAG-Com and adjust it from there!

If you adjust it mechanically does the auto leveling not compensate for this ?

Not sure when I will get it to agents again (although it has full maintenance package)

Auto leveling is working over your mechanical adjustment.

Gosh I have the same problem with my 1.4 tsi. I bought my Rocco early this year and am having problem when driving at night especially going through roads that has no street light. How to adjust this problem? Do I go to the setting?

Since picking up my car I have found that the range for the dipped beam on my bi-xenons was far to short - although the light was lovely and bright I would only be able to see a very short distance ahead. It's not too much of a problem just now in the summer, but I thought I should get it looked at before we get tto the dark winter nights.

I took the car into the dealers this morning and they confirmed that the auto-adjustment setting for the dipped beam was too low and the used their VAG-COM to reset it at a higher position (it only took them 5 minutes). Hopefully there will be a big difference now, but I'm going to take the car out for a spin on some country roads later tonight to test it out.

From the many posts on this subject it seems to be something that is a bit of a recurring issue with the bi-xenons factory setting. Thankfully it's straightforward to fix.

Same here - a quick trip to the service centre had sorted the problem out

I had the same issue, VW springs lowered the car last year and it seems they didn't bother to adjust the lights. Now I can see again....

I know this thread dates back a Looooong time, but I am having the same issue with my 2011 2.0 tsi irocc with factory fitted xenons which I've only had for a few days. The light is nice and bright but only illuminates like 25metres ahead of the car. I took the car into the dealership to have the lights adjusted to spec, but took the car out on some winding country roads last night and no marked improvement. The Halo's on my golf IV did a better job! Any Idea's or suggestions! I'm embarrased to say I'm terrified to take her out on unlit roads at nights because of the horrible visibility.

Its back to the dealer, and maybe this time say its ok if it a bit high. They tend to set them too low, in a misguided gesture to not blind the oncoming traffic.

The xenon is brighter and reaches farther than standards.

You would hope that they check them as part of the PDC's - will have to ask the question when I pick mine up in January.
