Hello,
I have just signed up to the forum and have been blown away by so many people taking the time to help me out in speccing my new Scirocco. Ordered today!
I have been told to expect it some time in October (which is about what I had anticipated) but my current car lease is up this Friday and so I need a temporary car for 2-3 months.
I imagine other people must have been in this boat too (whilst waiting for the boat...)
Any suggestions?
Can someone please recommend a reasonable and reliable short-term car hire company?
I have had a quick look at Budget/ Avis etc and they are asking about £600 a month for their most basic Fiesta!
Thanks

Could you not talk to your dealer see if they could lend you car with some sort of deal?

Hi,
Have done thorough google search but would prefer a personal recommendation as you just cannot tell who you can trust through a random website.
As for the lender- no joy.

get yourself down your local auction, spend £1k on an 8 yr old mondeo or something and then sell it on privately when you get your roc, you will get most of your money back or if you get lucky make a profit, i just did it with a Skoda Octavia, 2001 bought at auction for £800 earlier this year, sold it last week after collecting my roc via autotrader for £900. Result!
