Seagate USB HD Problem

Hi guys,

just tried a new portable Seagate 500gb harddrive in the car, didnt like it at all :(

Comes up with unrecognised device?!? Seems to power it ok though as the light comes on....

Any ideas, gutted cos it fits in the arm rest like a glove!

Lol u know what, after posting this i though "aghhh shite, i bet its formatted NTFS....."

It was hahaha, gonna go try it now formatted FAT32

Schoolboy error considering ive worked in IT for 10 years :/

Yup worked like a charm ;) You HAVE to get one!

500 gig of tunes on the go?.....yes sir! ha ha

Any more news on the motor? Its soooooo gonna be worth the wait fella ;)

Only got 17GB of music!!!!hahaha

Yea got some new picking it up tomorrow fella! :lol:

Im using a seagate 250 Gb HDD from Tesco £38 and it works a treat , I thinks its a bit quicker than my ipod too.

You just have to re-format it to FAT32 using some software downloaded from seagate's website called "DiscWizard",
This is because windows will not format a usb HDD to FAT32 bigger than 32GB ,
the software does it for you in minutes, then you can put all ur music on it

hahaha, i rekon i could drive round the world and still only hear each tune once! lol

Just waiting for a decent day so i can use the new detailing gear i brought and maker it look spanking :P
