Advertising or lack of?

Post by FUNYOU »

Hi to all. Living here in the UK, I cannot understand why there has been such a distinct lack of advertising for the new Scirocco? The Eos had plenty of TV space, (also a niche car), and yes the Golf is the cash cow, and as such its ad campaign has now gone into overdrive. Perhaps I was just to busy waiting for my Scirocco to be delivered to notice? Any thoughts on why the car has been ushered in so quietly?

Hmm I think it’s a good thing, the lack of TV and in your face advertisements has added to the mysteriousness of the car, people drive past and are like "WTF was that?"

vw advertise what they sell most of, hence the push on the mkvi golf and probably the mkvi gti, scirocco is more niche so could tv be justified, there again if they stuck em on dave on a sunday afternoon they will be on to a winner

I also think its a good thing that not many people know about it. Keeps it rarer and hopefully keeps the resale values up.
