As some of you may or may not know I am currently studying for a BEng with the Open University, my current course is looking at Innovation and sustainability. This requires completing a project around the course subject and I have chosen to focus on tyres, specifically their recyclability and construction.
Pretty please could you spare a few minutes to complete the following survey (its only 10 questions) to help me along my way. Thank you

Done & good luck. You'll feel guilty for not working 24/7 when its all done and dusted. I felt bad for watching TV for about a month after my dissertation.

Interesting tho. What does happen to the tyres once you've used up the tread? Sent round to various circuits to act as barriers?

some are put into landfill, some are burnt, some are retreaded & sold on as remoulds, some are recycled by being chipped up & used for pathways, kids playground floors
but there is a disposal charge attached as recycling is expensive (due to the separation of the rubber & steel) & only a small amount can do in landfill so the backlog is forever growing.
I would think that tyre walls are pretty much self stocked by the circuits & their competitors
