It's not mine, but mine is on the way.

Hi, finally after 3 weeks of waiting my dealer finally got their R demo. So today I was able to take it for a spin. All I can say is wow. Even with only 35 delivery km on the clock it went well, much better than my 2.0 TSI (GT in UK speak), it was very responsive and had a great sound. It was the std spec for NZ , but with 19" wheels on Dunlop Max Gt tyres. Cloth seats and pana roof.
Overall it just felt that much sharper than the std 2.0TSI car. Mine will have DCC ( a NZD 1750 cost option). So I hope it will be worth it. The ride was good on the 19"s without DCC.
Mine was build week 11, and was ordered Feb 20, due to land May 28, if the boat skipper does not stop off somewhere for a holiday. So pretty much 3 months door to door. This seems to be much shorter than the wait some of you have been experiencing in the UK.
For some reason VW Australia have decided not to import the Scirocco in any model. Not sure why as I am sure it would be a big hit for them. They have a much bigger car market than us here in New Zealand.ple
Here a couple of quick pics, they are not very good quality as I rushed them. I did not want to spend all my time taking photos, but spent it driving.
Now all I have to do is count the days until then end of the month. It will be a long wait, as I sold the Viper in Feb, and have been driving a Toyota Echo ( Yaris) for the past 3 months.
Photos will be posted as soon as it arrives.
Cheers
