* Flat tyre indicator fitted as standard on cars with 17" and 18" wheels.

* Mobility self-sealing tyres standard.

* Hill hold function added to all manual gearbox cars (already standard on DSG).

* Opal Silver, Pewter Grey and Shadow Blue colours discontinued.

To be honest, nothing there is making me think I should wait as mine is being built Week 19.

No news yet on whether anything will be added an an option.

People seem to bandy about things like reversing cameras, keyless go and stop-start but none of it has ever shown up but I guess it might be on the options list.

Am I reading this right - do the new standard options get added automatically if your car is build week 22+, even if they weren't available at the time of ordering?

And when you say the hill hold function will be added to all manual cars - is that as standard or an option?

Hill hold = Standard.

The standard options should be in your Scirocco's build.

The check you need to do with your dealer is the pricing. That depends on how VW UK play it with the dealers.
The price list not out yet. Current price list for models and options is 01.04.10, but it does not reflect these changes.

Thanks C. Is that because my car won't actually be 'complete' until week 22 or because you think my estimated build week may be delayed?

OK - thanks, I'll do this once the build date is confirmed (hopefully this week) and will post back any info.

I am curious to see the difference between the old colours and the new ones, which (at least) sound to be similar.. Samples, anyone?

There are a couple floating around in other threads

For example:

No samples of the colours on Scirocco's though.

Does this mean that the car will no longer come with a full spare wheel, but just a tub of gunge and an electric airpump that's just not worth a toss when you get a puncture?

there is nothing to suggest it has been removed arkaig so don't fret, if they thought something like that was a good update I think they'd have a mutiny on their hands
