Replacing manual seats with electric leather

I have got a Scirocco 2.0 tsi which came factory fitted with cloth interior. I have recently purchased leather seats from a scirocco that was involved in an accident with the intention of replacing my interior. The problem is my seats are manual and these new leather ones are electric. I took it to my mechanic and he said that if i was to fit them i would need to cut into my wiring loom and it would void my Volkswagen warranty, i then went to Volkswagen for advice and they told me i would need a new wiring loom and it would be very expensive also i would need additional wiring to get them heated.

Is there any way i could fit them in my car or would it be to much hassle, should i just sell them?

I would greatly appreciate any advice

Many thanks

Andy

they aren't telling you they would have to do the big job of cutting into the wiring loom or supply a new wiring loom for the fun of it, to get the seats to work as they are fully supposed to they really would have to do the long & painful job. (there are various versions of the wiring loom fitted depending on the options requested on the car)

i'm not sure on the full functionality of them so i can't even say you could just put them in & use them as manual seats so you have the leather interior.

If you don't know, then don't answer.

You can quite easily get them to work, its just 12v and earth they need!!!

For the heated part you need to buy a climate control unit which has the controls for a start, then you can buy a retrofit loom for the seats, or make one yourself.

Its not that difficult to do, but it would be expensive to pay someone to do. You probably nee tghe wiring diagrams aswell to give you a hand. :)
