Scirocco Central

Hi,

I'm looking to order a Scirocco 1.4TSI (122PS) in Candy white or rising blue. However, I have a couple of questions! Because they don't do a GT Model of the 122PS engine, does anyone know if it is likely happen?

Plus, when would you advise that I should order for the new reg (Whats the average lead time etc)? I was thinking of putting on all the extras that the GT packaged has - 18" wheels, privacy glass, fog lights and so on.

I would doubt they would up the spec of the 122PS model to include a GT version spec as it's an entry level model.

You could do what I did and add your options as you are planning. How much you might get back later when trading-in is something you should consider.

The other option if you can is look at whether it is worth going to the 160PS but with lesser options, ie. adding the key ones you want. And still end up paying the same.

If you stay with a basic model specified or dealer specified Scirocco (already ordered), you may get it fairly quick.
I waited 15 weeks for mine with my options (factory order), still pretty typical but may be slightly longer now. This part you need to dicsuss with the dealerships and shop around as there may be an dealer allocation not yet sold which could give you a good turnround.

Out of interest why not go for the 2.0 GT ?
