Mobridge Bluetooth and Phone Menu

I have fitted a Mobridge Bluetooth unit today and I have paired my iPhone and I access the contacts and make/receive calls via the RCD-510 ok. I cannot however, use the steering wheel phone button or access the MFD phone menu.
Does this mean that my RCD-510 has not been coded for phone, and if so, is a VW dealer likely to charge me to do this?
If they are, then I'll go back to the leasing company as I was told that it has been coded for phone prior to delivery.

hmm I would think you can't code the car to work with a phone kit until the kit has been installed, otherwise it doesn't know what its being coded to work with
go back to them!

Ah ok, I didn't realise that the phone coding was specific to the kit that was being installed, I thought that the phone functions were just enabled or disabled. That would explain why it doesn't work as expected. I'm not sure that the leasing company are going to be interested as it is something that I have fitted after they have supplied the car, but I can give it a try. Otherwise, I can try a VW dealer or go to the Mobridge dealer in Byfleet as I am not far away.
Cheers
Jamie.

it may not be a different setup but I would think it would need to know certain inputs from the phone kit which it obviously won't know without it being installed.
think you'd be better off going into the local vw dealer & asking them to use their vagcom to configure it. can't say i've heard of mobridge before so not sure if they would have vagcom which is required for coding

Most of the new Roc's (with the White MFD) require coding with VAG-COM for it to work.
