So we all know by now how much attention our cars get.
There is an argument as to which colours get more attention etc, but bottom line is they all do!

Interested to hear what the best remarks were that you have had so far?

Had a couple of goods ones in the past week:
First was a block standing by a cash machine at a petrol station as I drove up to get some cash out.
He was staring at the car and says to me: Mate, I don’t usually like VW's but this was looks amazing!

Yesterday I had a classic, two blokes staring at it from across the road as I came back from a shop, asking me whether it was the MK6!!! (Meaning the new Gold of course...)

'look at that bad boy' quote from an 11 year old lad in a hoodie, kids at that age normally no their car stuff

not had any good comments, had plenty of eyeball in traffic though. The worst comment was from my numpty brother in law who asked if it was a Megane!!! Needless to say he knows nowt about cars.......

I has somebody say 'it looks like its doing a hundred miles an hour at stand still' not quite sure what that is supposed to mean

Another guy said it looks like a shark from the front

Another asked if it would be ok if he had a look around the car

On a few occasions people have asked what it is - probably thinky somthing much more exotic than a VW

The worst comment I've had is that it looks like a squased VW Beetle!

my neighbourtonight said he did not like the rear, pitty cause he'll have to get use to it when he's in my rear view mirror

I don't like the rear either but still bought it

I like the rear lights though.

Had a nice one at UK immigration booth in Calais - really pretty blonde in the booth - checked my passport - eyeballed the car and said "Lovely car - what is it!" - Scored!!

i am assuming given your boot was full of tyre its not the ideal motor for smuggling

"Love the car, noticed it loads of times...but what is it?"
"I used to have one of those, wish I never sold it!" (repeated 5 times by 5 different peeps )
"Sweet ride, looks like a Delorean"

etc etc


Plenty of looks, from both youngans and ye oldans ... it's just different.

Driving through heavy traffic at a snails pace this morning, a VW Corrado driver coming the opposite way, pulled along side me and motioned to put my window down - on doing so he leaned out of his window and said "that's the sweetest mother f@cking ride I have seen on the road in years man! Sweet as sugar on a bitch's ass""
