Does anyone have any idea of the in-gear acceleration times for the 'R' - the usual 30-50, 50-70 etc. The only figures ever quoted are 0-60 (anything from 5.8 to 6.4 it would seem!) and V max. As I await my Pearl Black 'R', due to be built next week (week 8), it would be nice to know what to expect. I've gone for the manual gearbox - I like to do my own driving, and I plan to keep the car way beyond the warranty period, which could be expensive with DSG - but presumably this makes no difference to 30-50 acceleration times etc.

I don't know them, But I did see a post on the Audi TT forums comparing them to the TTS / S3 and it murders both of them .

The full road test from Autocar magazine next week should give you some answers.

Wow It's faster than I though and faster round the track than the S3

Yes, and take a look at other car`s from 80 and up. It is very very fast, this summer will be very good :-)

How can there be so big a different compare to the zeperfs figures in zeperfs I wote for ZEPERFS :-) but don`t understand the big differense between them, can anybody tell me why ???

The ZePerfs figures are for a DSG one in the dry.
The Autocar figures are for a manual one on a greasy surface (according to them).

That explain a lot. I still wote for Zeperfs and still want to belive I buy the right car :-)
