Collect it as soon as possible and save the difference in Vat or wait for the 1st March and pay the extra £600 odd quid?

Went to see it today and it looks lovely, sat there with my plate on it ready and waiting, Very tempted to get is ASAP but should I wait?

Views?

Hard choice really, I'm not sure what I would do in the same position. £600 Less and Car a month sooner or slightly higher residual in 3 years when you sell it.

Think I would take the Car ASAP, pocket the £600 and worry about it in 3 years time or so. I'm sticking a Private reg on mine anyways, Id rather than than telling everyone when it was registered

If your not fussed about resale etc, then get it! I don't have a private plate hence why i don't want a 59! I ordered August too so for me i think another 4 weeks won't make much difference!

I am picking mine you this coming week, and it has 59 plate as well.

I don;t think such a cult car ( lets face it, its becoming a cultish car) would get affected by the age that much. 2 years perhaps.

the design looks so 'ageless' i really think it would not age in appearance for at least 3 years. If you look around you and those up and coming designs, there is nothing really can compare to the scirocco design. Except perhaps the new alfas.

so i think its best to pick it up and start using it. a day longer at the hands of the dealer could mean all kinds of risks like people scratching it by accident, dealer on fire etc etc.

Decision made I am going to get it as soon as possible. I am sure the difference come resale time will only be a few hundred pounds anyway and the VAT saved will pay for the remap.

Well after being all decisive I thought I would wait to get my car. I was offered a shocking part ex for my current car so decided I would get the rocco on the 1st March and advertise my car in the meantime. Well I put it up for sale satruday night it was sold the next morning to a trader.

Needless to say I am without a car so getting my rocco thursday morning :-)
