Thanks for the positive comments guys, great to receive them
Was surprised when I downloaded these pics to PC, didn't expect they would come out that well at all. Pics weren't something that was planned well in advance, was just awake early and decided to take a spin out on the empty early morning roads. Was only using an ordinary compact digital, nothing fancy, was just a quick point & click. When I got near the area, had wanted to take pics from a different location, but road was closed for roadworks, so was then in mad hurry to find another spot before the sun had risen too far.
Overall though, it's a pretty nice part of Dublin, about half an hour out from city centre. Can see why the likes of Bono, the Edge, Eddie Irvine, Van Morrisson, Enya and Neil Jordan, amongst others, all live in area... nice view to wake up to every day

Very nice photos Trooper - some of those shots are easily better than some advert promo shots I've seen - beautiful location too!

Nice photos trooper. Your status as the only Dark Maroon driver in Ireland is safe- I was gonna order the same, but I'm not getting a Scirocco at all any more
You should get yourself to the vagdrivers.net meet on Tuesday night in Walkinstown. Friendly crowd, it's no problem turning up knowing noone at first, just brace yourself for 'lower it!' comments

Would be really interested to know if anyone else has ever ordered this colour 'south of the border' (I know there a few in Northern Ireland, at least). Guess I'll just have to keep an eye out...

That's a real shame...

Thanks for he tip
Unfortunatley, unlikely to be able to make it this Tuesday, but will keep an eye out for the meet the following month. Wouldn't mind getting a few pointers though - have never 'modded' before, but giving a lot of thought to lowering (the nasty standard wheel arch gap is my least favourite aspect of the car).
