Awright chaps
Looking to retrofit cruise to my 140PS GT Tdi Rocco when it arrives in March, checked on ETKA and all models use the following part number in satin black
1K0 953 513 G 9B9
Found one on the bay here
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
Need to know is it a case of simply retrofitting the stalk fom ebay and then coding in with VCDS, I have heard on some earlier models there was some additional woring to do in which case I'll bail
Any help gratefully appreciated

Theres a big section on retrofitting components in the Tech Section bit from the main menu, have a look there.

Just a word of warning.
I've been waiting for my dealer to order my cruise control unit and fit it to my week 46 Roc but apparently they are still waiting on VW release the new kit that is compatible with the new Sciroccos. Something to do with the connections being different.
Personally I'm not 100% convinced by they're story as factory built cars don't seem to have a problem and the component must therefore exist. It's something to bare in mind though.

My Roc is a yr 2010 model and I had it retrofitted fine. This was back in October as well. Essentially its the same stalk as used in the Golf and Eos.

Ah ok, another thing too, my dealer was advertising retrofitted cruise control for the Golfs for £150 and £300 for the Roc, surely because its basically the same car they should have similar prices! (I managed to get mine done for £50 because of all the hassle they caused with my spare key anyway, but a word of warning!)
They use Richter sports as VW don't do the work themselves, it might be useful to look on their website (Cruise control is listed for £300)

Who retro-fitted your cruise control on your 2010 MY scirocco?

The issue isn't the part availability, it's the facts that VW haven't released the coding to the dealers, the cruise unit can be coded in Vag Com as Ross Tech are continually updating their module listings.
I'm sitting in my local dealers now, and they've asked me if I can code some cruise controls for a number of their cars. Apparently they're not allowed to have Vag Com.

Strange, just checked again with my parts guru, and he reckons they still have not released the retro fit CC stalk yet.
Really puzzling..........
