Any demos

Are there any demos around yet guys? Thought I read that there are a few Golf demos now at dealers?

Bit of a strange one as there was talk of demo R's becoming available, but it seems strange that VW dealers would want to demo a limited number car except for magazine/TV review purposes.
My dealer did say in about October they would be getting an R demo but didnt know if this would be a Roc or a Golf but no sign yet and to be honest i cant see it happening.
Maybe the main delerships in say London might get them just to showcase them.

I think it will be ordered as a demo so the dealer gets an extra allocation, but really it's reserved for a customer so will probably sit in the compound for 2 months rotting until it gets registered march 1st maybe. The Golf R isnt much of a looker the Rocco R all the way...

When I took my car in for a service in December, the dealer (Wantage, west Oxon) indicated that they would not be getting an R demonstrator in.

Just had a look at a Golf R demo @ Derby VW. Looks fantastic, dealer says it's brilliant on the road. Don't suppose we will see any Scirocco R's before mine arrives!!!

Its at Martins in Camberley apparently. gave them a call earlier...apparently its on the corporate demo fleet and is only around during the week. not available at the weekend. bummer.
