Dont quote me on this, but im sure theres cars worth far more that have short lead times lol
If i get quoted 7 months when i come to ordering mine at the end of the month, it will deffinately put me off having one, so i HOPE that doesnt happen!
i have completed my order around august time, and i was told it is being built now, with ETA around late Jan.
My concern is that VAT thing may run out in Feb ( i recall this subject was discussed elsewhere in the forum).
after so long i am not too bothered now because i have other pressing matters to spend my money..( my glasses got smashed and the house insurer refuses to pay up the 378GBP - 2 lenses plus a cheap spare!)
Placed my order 3rd October. Should be able to pick it up mid Feb depending on boats as it is getting built this week but suspect I will wait for March 1st regardless of whether I can get away with the VAT reduction or not so in total about 4 1/2 months.
I suspect it depends on your dealer as each dealership gets a fixed number of orders - if one dealer says 7 months, chances are he has used up a couple of months orders in advance or is wanting to set expectations so that you are chuffed when it does arrive earlier than predicted.
Personally Im quite happy with the wait - it keeps residuals on 2nd hand cars much higher.
I understand each dealer only gets a certain number of build slots per month. Delivery will therefore take longer if your dealer has already sold their allocation for the next few months.
