Has anyone seen real life pics or videos of the R in white or black? The VW configerator is not very good at showing what the car will really look like.

Expand the picture and make it full screen ( if you havent already :P) I though the black one looked mean as hell.

oh man this has just made it harder for me

black or blue, the black just looks the same as the gt because you cant make out as much a of the R styling

Gah look at the Gap between the wheel arch and top of tyre :/ Hope that lowering springs for the R and too long in production. My MKV R32 is on KW V1's and dropped pretty low, just dont like big gaps

We need decent pics of R on the VW site and be able zoom in and rotate it

I think it may be on 18" wheels hence the big gap. Would look better on 19" wheels.

I do agree with you martinjrose about it not looking amazingly special in the pic BUT IT WILL BE!!! I was tempted by blue cos it does look sweet in the pics online but I reckon any colour still makes this car awesome. I've ordered 19" wheels so I'm hoping gap won't be as big as it is in the pic

The Golf R sits nicer on 18s:

But looks best on 19s:

Yeah that does look a bit crap!
Nice pics tho to see the real thing instead of looking at magazine pics that have been played with ...blue all the way for me!

Is that Rising Blue???????? It looks TOTALLY different in the flesh than it does on the VW site and publicity shots (The one of the car in the garage)

think you will find the overall diameters including tyres are pretty much the same for the 18s and 19s so the comedy scirocco arch gap will still be present, better budget another £300-£1,000 for springs or coilovers :D
