Faulty ACC

Today sat at traffic lights and notice the acc button flashing (comfort & sport), I pressed the button to change between the 3, the button continued to flash, but the mfd would indicate which setting i was on (comfort/normal/sport).
When the lights changed I set off in what I would call a steady acceleration in drive, the car felt like driving on a cobbled road, very hard & bouncy with the acc button still flashing. No fault lights appeared on the dash cluster.
I rang my dealer and they told to come down straight away, this is 3.30pm, so I drove to the dealer 5 miles away with the car still faulty, called to fuel car up, got back in car and fault gone, my blood luck, no fault to show the dealer, anyway they got my car straight into there workshop, the on board system had logged a sporadic fault with the o/s/r shocker absorber, they have cleared the fault and the car is now running lovely. I need to rebook so they can carry out a full diagnostic. I know today is Friday 13th but come on I don’t believe that rubbish, I passed my test on a Friday 13th and is was in February.
Has anyone come across this fault before ?
