Lewis right for Lisbon to UK and Emden. MIne shifted from Lisbon an a Saturday and arrived Sheerness very early Monday.
Normal car ferry South UK ports to north Spain is quoted as 24 hours so a little bit more onto Lisbon makes 36 hours about right.

This is before they started the Scirocco building at the factory. Process will be the same apart from the roof bit.

If its on the boat then which ever way it won't be long now. You are over the long wait and uncertainty of when / will it be built.
I was told it would take 3 / 4 weeks from setting sail to me getting me hand on it but in the end it was very much less. It does go via Germany I've heard for quality control checks or something but once it lands in UK your dealer can start getting it registered and a number plate. After that it could be a matter of just a few days if you're lucky.

Zeph,
They're coming direct to UK, changed about August time. My Scirocco took from Friday teatime leaving the factory in Portugal to the Dealers compound in Manchester on Tuesday at midnight (4 days). I was sat in it on the Thursday morning at the compound.

My hopes are raised too. Did this info come from VW? My car was a week 44 build, so has been sat at the docks for 2 weeks already anyway.
I believe that they send any new model, or car built in a new factory via their central quality check location for a minimum time period, and also until the central check stop finding problems. Therefore it seems the lisbon factory is getting enough of them right 1st time to ship directly to the retailer.

From what Reuben says, it may already be en-route.
I've resisted phoning my dealer this week, as my stress levels cannot take a conversation with my salesman at the mo!
Anyone else heard anything?

I spoke to mine today, he said its still waiting to be shipped, at this moment its at the dock, not on route. Its been there since 2nd nov VW said they don't normally say there longer than 2 weeks and should be shipped soon. Me thinks this weekend.
My salesman is very good, and always gets back to me.
