im looking for some advise

i ordered my car mid august, soon after i was quoted a build week of 46. i wasnt happy about that as the dealer lied and said i could have one in a matter of weeks. his idea of a matter of weeks clearly differs from mine. during the waiting as you do i decided to add a couple of option like dynaudio, while doing this i noticed they hadnt included parking sensors on my order so i wasnt happy and told them to add them, i was also told by doing it shouldnt affect the build week, and if so i would get a call, no call came so i assumed all was well. i have just rang to find out whats going on and to see if 46 was confirmed only to be told it has been removed and isnt even showing a week now, i asked can he tell me anymore info "sorry no you added things now its not showing a build week" surely i should have been advised. i get better service buying a newspaper in the morning,

i am now seriously considering cancelling my order, it has gone beyond a joke.

jus wondering if anyone had any advise or been treated in a similar way?

I had a similar sort of issue with the dealer promising the car would be available at a certain time and it ending up being almost two months later - I told them I was canceling the order (and in fact put this in writting to them) and shortly after received a call offering to double the discount I'd originally agreed and to keep my p/x price at the original offer, plus I ended up benefiting from the VAt reduction too.

However, 'roc's are in much shorter supply now and I heard it mentioned from several dealers that VW have put a hold on new orders while they work to fufill existing orders. So if the dealer effectively cancelled your original order and placed an order for your new spec that could well be the problem. If they didn't tell you about any extra delay I'd def. kick up a fuss though.

dealer trying to make it you fault, if showing not confirmed you should be able to add make changes to your order, this what i was told and added to mine up until it confirmed,

i would go back in and give him a hard time he's the expert and should know what he's talking about! your order should have taking between 12 - 20 weeks.

its bad service, i would threaten to take order else where, crap service now whats it going to be like once they have all your money!!

You would be crazy to cancel - unless you don't want a roc anymore of course!
I ordered end of August and i'm unconfirmed week 50. I also added some extra stuff but it will only have effected he date a little bit. Personally i would rather wait the extra couple of weeks and have the extras i really want.
By the way, my dealer said i didn't have a build week, its vw customer service who told me the week im showing!

i ordered mine around july time and since then, i never had a confirmed date. Everything was unconfirmed and promised to be on this side of x'mas.

then a month ago i was kicked out and then only recently got put back in. Told any changes to the original order would affect the build week...

now, i won;t get it until Jan earliest. To be honest,i am expecting feb, march.

I often though, does it take this long to order a Morgan , hand build in the Malverns?!

i decided to stick with it because a new one is just as much as a pre-reg one. Am frankly, i am tired of the dealers. Tired of their demeanours. To me they are as bad as estate agents. I have no energy to restart the process of test driving and negotiating etc.

I have given up figthing and just prefer to wait. The trouble is i have no car, and actually borrowing my elderly parents car, which is not good because they need it too.

i am considering getting an old banger just to last till spring '10.

i got in contact with the dealer, aired my grievences. i has been assured that the changes i made have had no consequence on the build week, which isnt even showing any info now. he told me that its the same case with 90 cars across the country . dont no whether thats supposed to make me thinks its all ok. i quote " it unlikely that you will recieve it this year".
when i questioned what he told me about gettin one in a few weeks, he said yeah that was correct he has one now in the show room if it was the spec i wanted it would be available.

so iv got nowhere, and shouldnt expect the car till after new year,
i now have to tax and mot my car.

he has said he will offer me a discount, but i didnt ask for it so it makes me think its not enuff, as it was to easy to dish out, i said its not accetpable,he said we have already given you £2000 off with scrappage, iv viewed that as a trade it not a discount.

he kept saying if you want to cancel you can, as if he would rather that.

dont know what to do.
