The voice control is enabled by either the multi-function steering wheel or the head unit.
A choice of commands on the head unit will enable you to say what you want
The Navigation commands are: navigation, map, enter country, enter city, enter up to five digits of postcode, enter house number, enter junction, activate route guidance, stop route guidance.
The Radio commands are: channel (name), channel (number), frequency, next channel, previous channel, bandwidth, channel list, memory list.
CD commands are: CD, next CD, previous CD, title (number), next title, previous title

– 2.0 210PS, and 2.0 140PS TDI CR - visual gear change recommendation for manual gearboxes displayed in multifunction computer

– All trims - air-conditioning controls - change to design - see pictures a and b

I've just looked on the configurator & the bits & pieces are on there (they weren't at lunchtime) but state 'not available' on the scirocco or GT. (no rear camera)

oh & lookie lookie.. 'Unique 'R' sports suspension' 'LED daytime running lights set into bumper' 'Cherry Red rear light clusters'

oh and can you please explain, maybe also put a picture, of what you mean by the black line on the needles

i think viper thought it get abit lost in your thread which has reached 6 pages long now.
also relating to getting pics of the new needle, this will probably be unlikely until after some have been produced unless its on another model already.

well where did the info come from? i dont understand the needle thing

The info is from a bulletin off the VW desktop system, it also gives details on other models, I have no use what ever to make any of this up.

The following specification and engine changes will take effect from production week 45, unless stated otherwise. Please notify customers of any changes that affect their orders. There are references to BlueMotion and BlueMotion Technology throught this bulletin, click here to for further details.

– All trims - ABS Plus system: when driving forwards on loose surfaces, a special off-road ABS is automatically activated. The front wheels could lock briefly. This shortens the braking distance in off-road situations where the wheels dig in to loose surfaces. This is available only when driving straight ahead. When the front wheels are turned, the normal ABS is activated.

Passat Saloon and Estate

– Automatic Distance Control (ADC) option with 'Front Assist' will become available for 1.8 TSI 160PS manual. The ADC maintains a pre-selected distance from the vehicle in front, automatically adjusting the speed. If another vehicle is detected in the lane in front of you, the system will intervene by reducing the speed of your vehicle and, if necessary, applying the brakes. The system will not bring your vehicle to a stop.

– Maritime Blue - end of production

– 1.6 TDI 105PS BlueMotion Technology - removal of lowered suspension at the front and rear

– BlueMotion Technology - new badges, see picture 6.

– A new BlueMotion engine with start-stop technology and reduced emission levels. Enhancement to current 1.6 TDI 105PS: new body kit gives even better economy and reduced emissions of just 114g/km. This means it has one of the lowest emissions in its class. Click here for details.

German Configurator now shows the new CC unit along with some new "individual" interior colour options which we probably wont get in the UK

My VW dealer just call me. From today, at least here in Lux, its possible to order the "updated" scirocco. Tonight at 17.10 I will sign the order for my 2.0 210ps DSG

Does anyone know if LED running lights (like those on the R model) will be another addition as part of the week 45 changes, even if you don't have xenons?

I read somewhere that from 2010 all cars produced in the EU will have to have them. Would be a nice finishing touch

Interesting. I've noticed on the UK VW website that LED's are now listed on the specification sheet, but a dash has been entered across scirocco specs, so I wonder if this is something theyre going to add in when they officially announce the Wk45 amendments. All I can do is hope, keeping fingers crossed...

There are a number of items like this which are specific to the R so probably just on the configurator in preperation for the addition of the R model.
