Seat jammed

Not sure if anyone else has come across this before I take the car to the dealership - The passenger seat is jammed in one position on the "rollers" going forward and backwards i.e. when you pull up the lever at the front of the seat it wont shift from its position. I have looked under the seat and can see 3 release pins on each side which move up/down when you pull the front lever or the handle at the top of the seat to bring it forward (to get into the back seats). The pins still seem to move up and down but must be locking into the rail running mechansim under the seat at the gearbox side seems completely stuck. Didn't know if there was some sort of quick release but assume I have to go to the dealer? Thanks in advance to anyone who might have a clue what is wrong
