HELP NEEDED-KEY FOB RANGE DECREASED TO ONLY 1-2 METRES

Hi,
Ive recently noticed my key won't unlock/lock the car if I stand over 1-2 metres away.
the range used to be really good I used to be able to unlock it quite far but now its annoying because I need to stand really close to lock and unlock.
does anyone know where the receiver is for the key fob ?
I have changed the battery in the key and still no luck.
I have also tried with my rarely used spare key and changed the battery on that still same issue.
I'm struggling to find the antenna/ receiver so there is 2 antenna's when you remove the rear door cards 1 on each side but I think that's possibly for the radio?
no fault codes on Vcds also
anyone have any ideas of suggestions ?
