I'm new on here and have just ordered my spanking new, white Roc TDI.

Obviously im excited! but im not excited by the late Jan/early Feb delivery time!

Why is that?

unfortunately the delivery time is linked to dealer allocations and also reduced production in the portugal factory where the scirocco is built, there are plenty of us who are affected & definitely not happy about it, feel free to join us crawling the walls and we shall try to satisfy your 'roc appetite.

tell us abit about yourself, what spec have you gone for (i can't believe that you haven't gone for any!) & where abouts in the country do you hail from?

I'm a serial car buyer, had 24 cars in 11 years........ Its a disease!

Had a fair few VW's in my time, the MK5 Golf Gti being one..... Thought this time i'd go for a coupe and after narrowing it down there was only one winner! - The Roc.

Sorry, i have had cruise and parking sensor's as an option, being the GT it has eveything i need on it.. Leather would be nice bit seems a bit expensive?

Also, I got a new brochure and have they made some tweaks to the car? interior etc? - The brochure i had seems to be more like the New Golf interior.....

Just call me poirot! Welcome to the forum! Good choice by the way, welcome to the club. It's gonna be a long wait but it's worth it.

The 10My gets the new steering wheel and instrument cluster which looks very tidy and the software on the head unit has been upgraded to give a few extra features.

Although there appears to be a few around now the Roc is being built in fairly small numbers when you compare it to the Golf and demand is very high which unfortunately means a long wait for those ordering now.

Will hopefully catch up some time and take you for a spin although this might make the wait worse!

Yeah defo mate, seems you have an ultimate spec on yours aswell as the tsi engine!

Didnt even notice they had updated a few things until after my order went in.

You'll defo have to take me for a spin! Suppose the longer I wait for it the more money I can save.

I didnt go for much additional spec as I dont tend to keep my cars that long, as you well know! - the GT spec is enough for me!

You might want to consider the dealer fit luxury mats rather than the factory ones. The dealer fit mats have scirocco written on the front ones, the factory ones are plain. Depends on your tastes.

Yeah will defo go for the luxury mats.. and a Bluefin upgrade on the power.

Well the wait for the Roc is going to change your average a bit Regard it as aversion therapy.

My aim is to keep the Scirocco for at least 3 years....... Hmmmmm, we'll see.... Seems so good that I may!

My order with the company car office only went in yesterday, I'm not expecting much news until March I reckon

Even the lease market is effected, I've spent weeks searching and was lucky to snap up a cancelled order - got a Reflex Silver 2ltr TDI GT coming on the 25th!!!

I can't belive how lucky you are.....

We got ours about a week and half ago and my wife can't stop driving it it's got over 700 miles on the clock now .......it's a great car

I put my company car order in two weeks ago and at the moment delivery is late Dec. Longest two weeks of my life!!
