Scirocco Central

Ok, so on my daughters 2010 2 litre petrol GT Scirocco there is what appears to be a missing pipe to the inlet manifold
I have circled it in blue on the diagram i found, and also have enclosed a photo also

Any ideas what is missing and where the other end may go? I can't see a loose pipe in the engine bay?

It looks odd but that is normal.
