Real Carbon Fiber LED Steering Wheel

Post by ganmo0409 »

Hello.

I want to replace it with this steering wheel.

However, I don't know the line that can take out 12V with the connector of the airbag harness.

I found this image.

Does anyone know the 12V line by looking at this?
And which is the ground wire?

Fair bet no 1 on the black is 12v or earth. Why else would one side of the horn switch connect to the airbag wiring?

If you can find the horn check the two terminals. One will be connected to no 4 on the black. If the other side is 12v then no 1 on the black is probably earth. If the other side is earth then no 1 on the black is probably 12v.

You have a meter? Go looking. If you don’t have a meter then get one, they’re less than tenner on ebay.

Hi chelspeed,

I got this.

It seems that 1 of the black connector is grounded and 2 is 12V.
It seems that the platform is different depending on MQB or PQ, but the pin arrangement of the yellow connector does not change.
I will check it with a tester.
