So who have people gone for with their diesel remaps and what kind of power are they making?
- Revo quote from 170 to 208 BHP
- Celtic tuning quote 170 to 230 BHP
- APR quote 170 to 195 BHP
Think I'll go with the Revo one as Celtic seems very high which I can't imagine being healthy and APR is rather low.

Re: 170 TDI Remap
Figures are just that - estimates.
For a Dpf deleted car expect around 210 max safely.
EGTs get high.
The turbo is pretty small, claims of 230+ are 100% bollox on stock turbo.

Re: 170 TDI Remap
To reach 230hp you definately need a bigger IC and exhaust and intake.
I heared this is the max for this turbo.
I agree with Xjay's 210hp.
I also have the dpf removed i thought you would smell it like crazy but you don't even notice.
Only sometimes when reversing or a stand still a very little diesel smell.
I also had a Wagner IC installed and the 170 turbo last month because it was broken.
Its running 225hp and 435Nm now.
Its running great and for me the max i would put into financially.

Re: 170 TDI Remap
Thanks for the replies.
Revo does definetly sounds like the most healthy option to go with.
Did your DPF removal make the car smoke more ?

Re: 170 TDI Remap
Did I read somewhere that the revised requirements for the UK MoT Test will fail your car if the DPF has been removed from the vehicle? Any smoke will mean a fail?
Obviously, I don't know about other European countries and their regulations...

Re: 170 TDI Remap
DPF will be checked visual from the outside, internals can be deleted.
Smoke depends on how well the remapper does his work.
On mine is see no smoke but maybe on full load a small bit but that can better be told driving behind.
