Scirocco Central

Having just purchased a scirocco I became confused by the fact the headlights remained on even in the off position. So I YouTubed it. Video shows how to turn them off using the turn indicator and flash combination. Filled the instructions to hear a ping. No difference. Car wouldn't turn over and had to bump it. The following day operating the Windows they stopped halfway down, again click click click from the starter and dash went mental. Had to bump it again.
Question is is it mere coincidence that I either need a new battery or alternator, or was it a malicious post which has played with the ecu.

Baffled and concerned. Only had it a week and already needed new coil packs.

You have a battery issue, get it checked or replaced

There are posts on the auto light/ drl overriding them on the forum if you have a quick search

The method you have used only works on some scirocco cars, I am not sure which ones it does work on but again a forum search will help you
