SO FRUSTRATED

I am in the process, like so many of us, of waiting for my roc to arrive and just been down to my local dealers, for a bit of a tyre kick, around their yard. I cant believe that there is a roc all plated up and waiting to go to its new home, but it has been sitting there for 2 weeks now. I cant believe that the new owner hasnt been to collect it yet!!!!!
The minute mine is available to collect i will be down there in a flash

Hi Boss, when did you order yours? I've been waiting 5 weeks now which from what I gather is no time at all compared to some of the stories I've read and no doubt got considerably longer to go but agree that when I get that call everything else will be put on hold lol

ive only been waiting a week, but i am the most impatient person you will ever meet!! im hoping that the 8 weeks i was quoted when ordering will be correct, but reading some of the stories on here, im not holding out much hope. on the plus side, the salesman i ordered with is a good friend,so fingers crossed he does me a few favours if he can!

That seems very quick indeed, if it turns out to be true then i would assume that your m8 at the garage has pulled a lot of strings to move you foward coz the last i heard approx a 2 weeks ago, any scirocco's ordered now (other than ones in stock, i.e in showrooms over the country) have been given a 5 month wait on them !!!

Have you asked the dealers about it? It's not plated up for next registration half year is it?
I hald one of my purchases back for 4 weeks to catch the "new" reg year so resale value was better.

Who holds the record for the longest wait after ordering their car?
5 months is a bit of a killer, I would probably look at getting a different car if quoted a wait like that.
It's a nice car but I would never hang around for that length of time.

I don't get why people wait for builds. I walked into my dealer on Monday, said I wanted a certain spec, said I wanted it now. he looked at his list on unreg'd cars throughout the uk. I put a refundable 2 k deposit down, they found the car the next day, was delivered the sunday after and was mine to drive away the following day.
There are lots of unreg'd ones floating about to just to a direct dealer who has access to the group for the whole of the UK...

That sounds very easy Jon, but when I ordered mine, I asked 3 dealers from different chains and they all said nothing stocked in the UK that matched my spec.
Would have sacrificed my £500 deposit for a suitable stock model.

I'm collecting mine on 1st September even though it's currently sat in the Dealers compound and has been for a few days.
I was tempted, but I don't see the point in registering it now when the new plate is due in a month.
I might have told you were it currently is although by the sound of you, you'd probably drool all over it and make a show of yourself.

7 months... They called me 2 days ago that it finally has arrived.... Ordered mine in the first or second week of januari. I'm extatic about it don't get me wrong but 7 months was really pushing my patience there for a few moments.
