Hi

Just to clarify what is the wire running in the rear side windows, don't appear to be heaters and both sides are a different layout!?

Cheers

Ok, bit odd isn't it, I would of thought it would all of gone through the shark's fin , is it standard on most cars to have the aerial in the glass?

It’s all down to the various frequencies for dab, fm, am, gps.

The aerial length needs to vary in proportion to the wave length (related to the frequency). So for cars with whip aerials for fm they are a foot long or so. The bee sting at 2 inch max is too short. So they put fm and dab on the rear windows where a foot long conductor is feasible. GPS must be very high freq so short wavelength and fits in the short beesting.

Take these words with a bit of pinch of salt as i’m no radio engineer but it’s at least something to do with this.

In most cases the shark fin is fake.
