Random alarm

Hey all, my alarm goes off from time to time whenever I open the door or pop open the boot from the key. does anyone know what is likely to be causing this .

If you lock the car with the keyfob and then subsequently open it with the key the car gets suspicious and sounds the alarm.
If you lock and unlock with the key, it's fine.
If you lock and unlock with the fob, it's fine.

It's only done it with the fob, I don't use the actual key.

Me neither, think I'll just wait for something to fail. There were a couple of codes the other day, but I cleared them and forgot to save them.
