Hey guys and gals, I have recently had my Scirocco R tuned to Stage 1, and I really think it brings the car to life! Video of the car with stage 1 here: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But, I also sometimes think that it would be nice with a bit extra power! Can anyone give me some advice when considering a Stage 2+ tune?

Enjoyed your video, sounds more aggressive than the standard car

Speaking from personal experience stage 1 is where it's at for FWD cars. It's very hard to use a lot more power than what a good stage 1 tune gives you. If you've got traction issues now it'll only get worse...

Nice motor you got.
I think stage 1 is the most practical. the thing with tuning is you will always want more. stage 1, wanting stage 2. stage 2 wanting stage 3 etc

Thank you very much, I am glad you enjoyed it. I also think it has really brought the car to life, but I am left wanting more.

I do sometimes find it difficult to put the power down. But I also do feel as if there are days where the car is faster than others, which is a bit strange, but I am thinking I might need to upgrade the intercooler.

Thank you very much. I know what you mean, and I think you are probably 100% accurate. Maybe its best to simply leave it and maybe upgrade intercooler to prevent heat soak. Thanks for the help so far everyone!

I'm considering Stage 2+. I was definitely going to go down that road until I got Stage 1 and realised that the car is already struggling to handle the extra power in the lower gears.
The extra torque gained with a 2+ setup is the attraction for me. I'm thinking of the GFB pulley wheel now which supposedly adds a bit of pep to the motor.
My car only has 4,000Km's on it so it will be a while until I'm ready for stickier rubber but that should help some as well.
Are you in Aalborg? If so, it's a nice spot, I've been there a few times back in the day.

Wouldn't bother with the pulley, OEM is faultless
Best thing would be the fit decent, tyres and work on the handling before upping the power. I've done the majority of the handling mods already But im leaving the power mods (remap) til last as I want the car to handle best it can

Good tyres, uprated mounts, try upgrading to poly bushes on the front wishbone and anti-lift kit they made a difference to my stage 3 2.0 tsi [emoji106][emoji108]

I don't have an issue with the standard pulley wheel but the GFB one is lighter which has to translate into motor feeling more lively, even if only slightly. I wouldn't bother if it was an underdrive unit.
I have Eibach springs and WALK and short of going for the coilovers that work with the ACC I don't know what else I can fit without compromising the ride. I don't want aftermarket wheels so that's wider tyres out as well
