Has anyone had any experience of selling their car through this website? I was going to sell my Punto privately to make way for the Scirocco, but then I looked on a few of these websites and this gave by far the best quote, just about what I would have expected from a private sale. I've not heard of it though, unlike some of the other more well known websites of this type, although I have since read an article about the business on the Times website which says that it is owned by the same people who used to run Jamjar, which was based about 10 mins from where I used to live.

My sister sold her car through them about 2-3 months ago, as she got posted abroad at fairly short notice and needed to get rid of it.
I went with her to the office by Stansted Airport. The guy came out and inspected the car for about 20 minutes, looking for every single tiny scratch, dent and sign of wear. Checked that the bodywork was straight, that the service history was as quoted (he noted that one of the services was late by 2,000 miles) etc etc...
After this we went into the office, he tapped about on the computer for a few minutes and then offered my sister about £400 less than the price quoted on the web, justifying it with various observations he'd made and a bit of trade bollocks. I assume this is normal practice and how they make their personal bonuses, as the cars are later auctioned.
As she'd be completely upfront about all the flaws with the car, we decided we'd just walk away and I'd sell it for her privately. Just as we opened the door to leave, the guy gave in and agreed to pay the full price quoted on the web.
So, my personal advice is be completely honest about the car when you get the quote, and then don't budge an inch on the price.
EDIT: just noticed that this isn't actually the same company; my sister used webuyanycar.com, but presumably the process will work in a similar fashion.
