Mine arrived! (Shadow blue TDI)

After 3 months of waiting and a painful 2 months of having to use public transport, my Scirocco finally arrived yesterday ... along with a day full of rain!

However, the rain didn't dampen things one bit. After a quick check to see everything was OK and to familiarise myself with where all the controls were and it was out for a spin. First impressions were very good, but in the wet I was a bit nervous of seeing what she could do.

This morning, however, we had sun and mainly blue skies - so it was off for a blast up to Ribblehead (I'm based near Keighley in West Yorkshire) and a chance to throw the car through some twisties. :D

I love it! The handling is great and there feels to be a huge amount of torque in the middle of the rev range.

Only one pic so far as I forgot to take my camera this morning ... more pics when I next go somewhere photogenic.

Looking good, nice and shiney! More I see the Scirocco in that colour more I'm becoming a fan - good choice

I can't comment on shadow blue compared to sumatra - the sumatra looks good in the photos I've seen, but I've yet to see one on the road.

Mine's a 140. Didn't seem sensible to pay for extra power I wouldn't ever use.

Only options are leather and mats.

Some pics now that some good weather has coincided with me having my camera in the car.

Your shots look fantastic! The good weather and clear skies really help show the colour well. Great contrast against the Yorkshire backdrop.

Bet you enjoyed the drive up there
