Hi All,
I have recently joined the VW World after running a thirsty Mini Cooper S for a few years. I decided the Scirocco was the car for me and after alot of shopping around, a couple of month's ago I found the one:
Even though she was shiny when I got it, it needed some love, so I got out the snow foam, clay bar and finished up with the Fusso wax:
On to the first of the mods

Next step was to change the badges:
Both front and rear were done and de-badged which I think looks great on the white roccos!

Although I loved the flat bottom wheel in the scirocco and its something I'd not had before, I was really tempted by the Golf R wheel. I scanned around the forum and it was hard to find any stories of people being sucessful with implementation and getting the lighting to work but I managed to find myself a bargain on the German eBay and picked myself up a R Wheel for around £350 Delivered:
After a short wait, I had a VW ICE specialist come over and he had it fitted in no time, all functionality working
Its got such a nice feel to it, slightly thicker than the standard wheel a plush finish!

Ive been looking around for a while to get some wheels for the car, I had my heart set on the BBS CH's and they had to be 19 to fill those massive arche. I was scanning around the web for ages looking for a good set and eventually found some 19 x 8.5 et45 and have been excited to get them fitted since. Alongside these, I knew it needed to be lowered so I got myself some of the H&R 35mm springs so I could keep the adaptive dampers and not invest too heavily in the MSS set. After a long weekend, I managed to drop the rear, got a little stuck with the anti-roll bar drop links at the front and struggled to find the time to get back out there so its currently riding low at the back but the new wheels are on and some spacers fitted:
Before (With standard wheels):
After (BBS CH + 15mm spacer):
Currently how it looks on the CH's
:
I like the way it sits at the back now that the springs have settled, can't wait to get the fronts fitted this weekend! I will share progress when its done!

Nice work dude, loving the mods so far! The wheel looks great, kinda wish I went for the piano black trim on mine but specifically went silver to match my air vents/other chrome trim too.

Thanks Tom! I saw that you went silver, I was thinking that same but the long term plan is to re-colour the trims to gloss black to match!
I am also interested in a gloss wrap for the wing mirrors, is this something you went for yourself?
Cheers buddy,
Scott

Love the stance on your car mate! Not usually a fan of those wheels either but they just work on your car!

Thanks dude!
Yeah, I wrapped my mirrors myself before getting carbon caps. It was a nightmare - i would pay someone to do it if I ever did it again, but then you may aswell pay to get them sprayed instead of wrapped if you're paying someone!
